330 Townsend Street, originally built in the 1920s as a brick-and-timber meat packing warehouse, now attracts small business of all stripes, from public relations firms to small software start-ups.
The old warehouse was converted to an office building in 1984 and, in the late 1990s, saw further upgrades such as lobby upgrades, seismic strengthening and ADA compliance work.
The two-story project resides across the street from CalTrain's San Francisco depot in the middle of San Francisco's thriving SoMa neighborhood. This area is regarded as one of the city's most unique, vibrant and sought-after areas to live and work in the city.
The city's most impressive redevelopment projects have come to fruition here, including Pacific Bell Park and the Moscone Convention Center. On the other side of the train station, San Francisco's brand new Mission Bay neighborhood is coming to life, featuring hundreds of new housing units, retail stores and the world-class UCSF bio-research facility.
